Kazakh DAN Joint Venture imported wheat through the Surkhandarya branch of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (UZEX), Trend reports referring to the press service of UZEX.
According to UZEX, to date, 14 foreign trading platforms of the UZEX operate in China, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Accredited brokerage firms accept applications from foreign clients to participate in exchange trading.
Trading platform specialists also continuously carry out marketing activities in order to attract local and foreign commodity producers to exchange trading.
It is noted that the expansion of the network of foreign trading platforms contributes not only to the promotion of domestic goods to foreign markets, but also to the stabilization of domestic prices due to the organization of import supplies of goods in demand in the Uzbek market.
In October 2020, a video conference call was held under the chairmanship of the president of Uzbekistan, at which tasks were identified to ensure food security and price stability in the domestic market.
Thus, in order to solve the set tasks, the registration of foreign companies has been simplified on the exchange, in addition, they are exempted from depositing collateral and paying commission fees.
As a result of the work carried out, today, such goods as wheat, vegetable oil, soybean meal, sugar, beef meat produced in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia at the price of manufacturers' plants have been organized at the exchange and exhibition and fair trades of the exchange.
Established by a special decree of the Council of Ministers of Kazakhstan in 1993 DAN JV is a Kazakh producer and exporter of grain. The company's infrastructure allows grain to be exported anywhere in the world.
