Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies (SGTT) and UNGM-DR service center (a joint venture between Chemical Engineering Plant and Siemens Energetika) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Trend reports with reference to the Uzbek media.
The parties intend to develop long-term cooperation in the field of service maintenance of steam-gas plants produced by Siemens Energetika in Uzbekistan.
Within this partnership, the UNGM-DR enterprise will provide technical support to STGT in servicing large gas turbines, attract its experts, provide production facilities, and master technologies for repairing parts of power equipment.
UNGM-DR was founded in 2000 with the participation of Uzbekneftegaz and Dresser-Rand (part of the Siemens Energetika group of companies). The key focus of UNGM-DR is the service of oil and gas equipment and the production of spare parts.
The cooperation of the two companies is another step towards the localization of Siemens Energetika's service work in Uzbekistan. Equipment maintenance by its original manufacturer will form the basis for efficient operation of critical process equipment, and localization will ensure the promptness and stability of such maintenance.
