Uzbekistan’s Zharkurgonneft JSC will be reorganized by joining Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.
The relevant decision was made according to the decree of the country’s president dated July 9, 2019, No. PP-4388 ‘On measures for sustainable provision of the population and the economy with energy resources, financial recovery of the oil and gas industry and improvement of the management system.’
As previously reported, in order to ensure the implementation of this resolution, a joint general meeting of shareholders of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Zharkurgonneft JSC was held on December 22, 2020. During the meeting, the new version of the Charter of Uzbekneftegaz JSC was approved.
On April 15, 2021, the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan decided to issue additional shares of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, which will be placed among the shareholders of Zharkurganneft JSC - the only shareholder of Uzbekneftegaz JSC with ordinary shares.
