Uzbekistan’s Bukhara Refinery has resumed its work, the press service of Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company said, Trend reports.
According to the press service, on April 5-15, 2021, routine repairs were carried out in the refinery. From April 16, the refinery units have been launched in stages.
In the reporting period, specialists repaired ‘Distillation of oil and gas condensate under atmospheric pressure’ and ‘Hydrotreating of general naphtha’ technological units.
"The hydro-mechanical cleaning of heat exchangers and tubes in the process furnace, as well as the catalyst for hydrotreating the total naphtha, have been replaced by a catalytic system including a guard bed," the press service noted.
Besides, the catalyst of the old model in the ‘Total Naphtha Hydro treating’ unit, was replaced with a new one produced by the French Axens company.
In 2020, the Bukhara Refinery produced 843,900 tons of gasoline, which is the highest figure in the 23-year history of the enterprise.
On March 30, 2020, for the first time in the country’s history, the refinery launched the production of diesel fuel meeting the ‘Euro-4’ and ‘Euro-5’ environmental standards.
