The first batch of saffron under the BMB Saffron brand was shipped to Italy, Trend reports referring to BMB Trade Group.
According to the information, in June, BMB Trade Group signed an export contract with Italian partners for a total of 15 million euros.
To ensure the implementation of this agreement, on July 29, the first batch of goods under the BMB Saffron brand was shipped to a European country.
In October last year, the first batch of saffron (crocus) bulbs was planted in the Bakhmal district of the Jizzakh region in Uzbekistan. The project is carried out within the framework of a memorandum signed between Uzbekistan’s BMB Trade Group and Italy’s Opera SRL on the cultivation and industrial processing of saffron and other medicinal plants.
It is noted that more than five million saffron bulbs were transported from the Italian city of Brescia to Uzbekistan.
The total project cost amounted to over €68 million, half of which is foreign direct investment. Most of the investment will be directed towards the purchase and supply of high quality saffron bulbs.
Also, BMB Trade Group noted that in the future, it is planned to supply high-quality and high-quality products from saffron grown in Uzbekistan, not only to Europe, but also to America and Asia.
Earlier it was reported that Saudi Sunbulah Technologies Est also plans to import saffron from Uzbekistan.
BMB Trade Group is an investment and consulting company with 40 experts and analysts, whose services have been used by more than 200 foreign companies.
The company has designed, with the participation of its own and attracted foreign direct investment, investment projects totaling about $500 million.
