Italian companies are interested in implementing projects in the field of development of copper ore and phosphate deposits, Trend reports referring to Dunyo news agency.
The mentioned issue was discussed at the meeting between the Chairman of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources Bobir Islamov, CEO of Takraf/Tenova Andrea Lovato, CEO of Techint Andrea Cignoli, President of the Italy-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Luigi Iperti and Vice-President of the Chamber Giorgio Veronesi, within the framework of the visit of Uzbek delegation to Italy.
The Italian side expressed interest in implementation of projects, including in the field of development of deposits of mineral resources and their further processing. Deposits of copper ore and phosphate are of particular interest.
In addition, it was noted that there is a possibility of co-investment of the implementation of joint projects, as well as attracting large foreign investors.
Also, issues of establishing cooperation in the field of construction of industrial and social facilities, transport infrastructure and energy were discussed with the Proger company. The company has experience of work and implementation of large projects both in Italy and in many countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America.
As a result of the negotiations, the Italian side expressed its readiness to carry out the necessary assessment and act as a coordinator for the implementation of projects with the involvement of relevant technology and investment partners.
