The Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Oman Company Atyab Foodtech discussed the implementation of the project on the creation of Centers of Agri-food Technologies, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek media.
It is reported that the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Zhampshid Kholdzaev held a meeting with the general manager of the Oman Atyab Foodtech Mojube Akhmed Khan on the implementation of an investment project worth $4 million, namely the creation of Centers of Agri-food Technologies based on the Republican National Network Centers Center for Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation AKIS.
It is noted that the project is carried out within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry and the Oman Company signed on November 3, 2020.
The tasks of the Centers of Agri-food Technologies will include laboratory studies for compliance with international standards for the quality and safety of produced, exported and imported food products of agricultural origin. Centers will be directly certified by Uzbekistan's products according to international standards ISO, HACCP, FSSC, Global Gap, Halal.
Also, local producers of agricultural products will have the opportunity to receive advice on production issues in accordance with the safety requirements of food and QHSE standards.
The centers are based on training with the participation of experienced specialists from the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, India, the Middle East, as well as support for farmers in developing new projects in the field of agro-industrial complex, food industry.
Atyab Foodtech is the main investment division of Oman Flour Mills Company (SaoG), which specializes in the development of new technologies for quality food processing, access to hygienic and balanced food, manufacturing consumer goods in accordance with international standards, etc.
