Uzbekistan reveals changes in price of goods and services

The price of goods and services in the consumer market of Uzbekistan rose by 1.3 percent on average from September through October 2021, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

For ten months of 2021 price of goods in the consumer sector increased by 7.3 percent. For the same period of the last year, this indicator reached 10.6 percent.

The leaders in the rise in prices in October were food products, which rose on average by 1.9 percent over the month. The price for non-food products for the same period rose by 1.1 percent, the price for paid services - by 0.5 percent.

Price for food products rose by 14 percent over the year. Non-food products have increased in price by 8 percent over the year. For the same period price for paid services has increased by 8.4 percent.

The main inflationary factor in October 2021 was the rise in prices for vegetables, tubers, plantains and legumes, meat and dairy products, as well as eggs.
