Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Russia’s Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations LLC held negotiations on the introduction of new technologies for the production of high-octane gasoline at the Bukhara oil refinery in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the press services of the Uzbek company.
The negotiations were held during the 8th International Conference "Oil Refining and Petrochemistry of Central Asia 2021", jointly organized by Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the British Globuk company.
The parties discussed a new "Arforming" innovative technology of the Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations with the aim of expanding capacities for the production of motor gasoline grade "AI-92" instead of the produced motor gasoline "AI-80" at the Bukhara oil refinery.
The objective of this technology is to obtain high-octane gasoline products by interacting light gasoline fractions with methanol using a special catalyst.
Further implementation of the proposed technology at the plant will allow to completely abandon the produced AI-80 gasoline fuel and to produce high-octane types of gasoline fuel.
The parties agreed to carry out the necessary research at the scientific center of the Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations, exchange up-to-date technological information, consider the feasibility study for the implementation of the “Arforming” technological unit with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year at the Bukhara oil refinery.
