The Uzbek authorities plan to purchase 14 more units of rolling stocks for the subway in 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Media Outlets.
The average daily passenger traffic at the metro stations in the capital of Uzbekistan in 2020 was 250,000 – 300,000 people, and in 2021 it accounts for 380,000- 420,000 people.
In order to prevent crowds at the metro stations, the Uzbek Tashkent Metro SUE has purchased 15 rolling stocks, including 60 subway cars produced by Russian Metrowagonmash.
