Uzbekistan plans to increase electricity generation by 40 billion kilowatt-hours by 2026, Trend reports via Uzbek Media Outlets.
The government set a goal to annually generate 110 billion kilowatt-hours electricity by 2026.
At the same time, the share of renewable sources in the total volume of electricity generation will reach 25 percent.
About 63.27 billion kWh of electricity was produced in Uzbekistan from January through November 2021.
Compared to the corresponding period of last year, the volume of electricity production increased by 5.22 billion kWh, the growth rate was 9 percent.
