The Center for Economic Research and Reform (CERR) of Uzbekistan has estimated GDP forecasts for 2022 using a new approach based on extremely detailed big data streams, Trend reports via the center.
According to CERR, the expected growth of the economy of Uzbekistan for the first quarter of 2022 is projected at 4.92 percent compared to the 1st quarter of 2021.
The main growth drivers will be the recovery of international trade, remittances, and domestic investment after the pandemic.
At the same time, economic growth will be subject to several risk factors such as a new wave of omicron virus and a change in the trend in the economy. Taking these factors into account, the projected range of economic growth is set at 4.5 percent-5.3 percent.
