BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Uzbekistan has imported 5,948 cars from 18 foreign countries in the amount of $124.5 million from January through February 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Imports of passenger cars increased by 4,873 units, or almost 6 times, compared to the corresponding period last year.
During this period, most of the cars were imported from China in the amount of 3,436 units, followed by South Korea (1,512 units), Kazakhstan (502 units), Russia (431 units), US (19 units).
Uzbekistan imported 3,037 cars from 12 foreign countries in the amount of $65.7 million in January 2022.
In February 2022 the country imported 2,911 passenger cars.
