BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. Uzbekistan considered the state and prospects for development of transport cooperation with Organization of Turkic States,Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Transport.
In particular, issues related to organization of the meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the Organization of Turkic States, which is planned this year in Uzbekistan, were considered.
In this regard, on June 1, 2022, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Mahkamov met with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev.
During the meeting, the issue of the widespread introduction of digital technologies in the transport sector was discussed. The parties noted the importance of accelerating the effective use of digital solutions in the process of freight transportation.
Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States, Baghdad Amreyev emphasized that Uzbekistan is actively participating in such projects as ePermit and eTIR in this direction. The parties agreed to mutually involve other member states of the organization in these projects.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify joint efforts to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the transport sector.
