BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. Uzbekistan exported 1.10 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $654.5 million from January through August 2022,Trend reports via Uzbek Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research.
The growth rate compared to the same period of 2021 amounted to 19.3 percent.
The largest share in the export of fruit and vegetable products is occupied by grapes – 16 percent, peach - 10.1 percent, tomatoes - 6.6 percent, cherries - 5.1 percent, melons and watermelons - 5.1 percent, cabbage - 5 percent, onions - 4.1 percent.
The main importers of Uzbekistan’s fruit and vegetables are Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Turkiye.
