BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Uzbekistan has exported 7,000 tons of pepper worth $6 million to 19 countries from January through August 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Pepper exports decreased by 2,900 tons compared to the corresponding period last year.
The biggest amount of pepper was exported from the country’s Surkhandarya region, which amounted to 1,700 tons, followed by the Fergana region (1,200 tons) and the Jizzakh region (777 tons).
During this period, most of the pepper was exported to Kazakhstan in the amount of 4,400 tons, followed by Kyrgyzstan (866 tons), Russia (599 tons), the US (219.4 tons) and Germany (161).
