BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. Uzbekistan relaunched gold exports in November 2022 - for the first time since April, Trend reports citing Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
According to the statistics, in November 2022, Uzbekistan's exports of gold totaled $556.7 million.
However, Uzbek gold export from January through November 2022 slightly decreased year-on-year to $3.5 billion from $4.1 billion over the same period last year.
Due to the 7-month pause in exports, in 2022 the share of precious metal in Uzbekistan's exports decreased by 6.2 percent, compared to last year, from 26.5 to 20.3 percent.
Furthermore, gold ranks third (20.3 percent, or $3.53 billion) in the structure of exports after industrial goods (23.1 percent, $4.01 billion) and services (20.8 percent, $3.62 billion).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's exports from January through November 2022 amounted to $17.4 billion, while the country’s total foreign trade turnover during the reporting period totaled about $50 billion.
