BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will implement joint energy projects, Trend reports via the press service of the Uzbek president.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is in Tashkent on a state visit, held talks in narrow and expanded formats on December 22.

During the talks, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan agreed to promote projects for the modernization and construction of energy facilities, geological exploration, and deep processing of natural gas, as well as accelerate projects to expand transport infrastructure.

Moreover, the presidents discussed issues of expanding relations in politics, trade and economics, transport and logistics, agriculture, and other spheres. They also exchanged views on the regional and international agenda, including ensuring the stable development of Central Asia.
