BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 2. Uzbekistan is constructing a new 95-kilometer Yangier-Akhangaran gas pipeline, Trend reports, citing Uzbek media.
The project is being implemented as part of the modernization and efficiency improvement program of the main gas transmission system.
To date, more than 47 kilometers of pipes with a diameter of 1,220 mm have been delivered for the construction of the facility, 6 kilometers of them have already been installed.
The new main gas pipeline is planned to be put into operation in the third quarter of 2023.
The commissioning of the Yangier-Akhangaran main gas pipeline will significantly improve gas supply to the regions of the Fergana Valley.
