BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. The number of ATMs in Uzbekistan amounted to 20,390, as of February 1, 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU).

According to the CBU, during the reporting period, Uzbekistan increased the number of installed ATMs by 56.3 percent, compared to the figure for February 1, 2022 (13,041).

Uzbekistan’s Xalq Bank has the largest number of ATMs (2,404), followed by Agrobank (2,155) and Kapitalbank (2,084).

CBU notes that 32 banks are operating in Uzbekistan, of which the following banks do not have ATMs at all: TBC bank, Uzum bank, and Anor bank.

Earlier in January, a source at Uzbekistan’s CBU told Trend that banks' mobile apps have been in great demand among Uzbek citizens over the past few years. Banks' mobile apps in Uzbekistan provide the following services: classic loans, savings, and various types of payments, online conversion, ordering and opening bank cards (plastic and virtual), international transfers, account, and wallet management, as well as card-to-card transfer operations, etc. About 28 out of 32 banks in Uzbekistan have mobile apps.
