BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 16. The value of all
loans issued by private banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 66.9
trillion soums ($5.8 billion), as of February 1, 2023, Trend reports
citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
During the reporting period, the value of all loans issued by private banks has increased by 2.4 percent, compared to the figure for January 1, 2023 (65.3 trillion soums or $5.6 billion).
From the total value of loans issued by private banks, some 29.097 trillion soums or $2.5 billion were issued to individuals, while to legal entities – 37.8 trillion soums or $3.3 billion.
CBU notes that Kapital bank has become the leader in the value of issued loans – 16.1 trillion soums or $1.4 billion among Uzbekistan's private banks.
The smallest amount of loans was issued by Uzagroeksportbank – 6.1 billion soums or $536,618.
Meanwhile, as of February 1, 2023, the value of loans issued to legal entities and individuals by all types of Uzbek banks totaled 391.1 trillion soums or $34.1 billion.
