Uzbek Almalyk MMC shares export data for 1Q2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) exported products worth $174.7 million and fulfilled the exports plan from January through March 2023, Trend reports citing the press service of AMMC.

This figure decreased by 26.9 percent, compared to the first three months of 2022 ($239.1 million).

During the reporting period, AMMC exported 12,900 tons of copper products and 8,200 tons of metallic zinc.

The combine also exceeds plans to export rhenium, copper sulfate, molybdenum, and tungsten products.

Furthermore, AMMC over-fulfilled the production plan by 2.3 percent during the first quarter of 2023. The combine planned to manufacture commodity products worth 6.8 trillion soums ($598.9 million), while the output figure was brought up to 6.9 trillion soums ($612.8 million).

In 2022, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine exported products worth $947.7 million. During the reporting period, AMMC exported 75,208 tons of copper products and 58,737 tons of zinc products, as well as selenium, tellurium, copper sulfate, sulfuric acid, cadmium, palladium powder, molybdenum products, lead concentrate.

At the same time, in 2022, AMMC produced commodity products worth 30.5 trillion soums ($2.7 billion). This figure decreased by 0.66 percent, compared to the figure for 2021.
