BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Uzbekistan's trade turnover with Georgia amounted to $29.8 million from January through March 2023, Trend reports referring to the National Statistical Committee of Georgia.
The turnover between the countries decreased by 6.1 percent, compared to the figure for the first quarter of 2022 ($31.7 million).
The Georgian statistics say that during the three months of this year, the highest level of trade turnover was recorded in March 2023 - $12.8 million.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported from Georgia goods and services worth $17.8 million (decreasing by 26 percent), compared to the same period in 2022 ($24.1 million).
At the same time, exports from Uzbekistan to Georgia increased by 57.2 percent and amounted to $11.9 million over $7.5 million from January through March 2022.
In 2022, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Georgia reached $160.1 million, up by 39.6 percent, compared to 2021 ($114.6 million). Export from Uzbekistan to Georgia in this period amounted to about $49 million, while imports - were $111.1 million.
