BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Uzbekistan has exported textile products worth $769 million from January through March 2023, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

The statistics say that exports of Uzbek textile products in the reporting period increased by almost $4.1 million, compared to the reporting period in 2022 ($764.9 million).

During the first quarter of 2023, more than 486 types of Uzbek textile products were exported to 46 countries.

The committee notes that in the structure of textile exports, the main share is taken by cotton yarn ($335.1 million), finished textile products ($303.4 million), knitted fabric ($72.8 million), other fabrics ($42.6 million), etc.

From January through March 2023, the main importers of Uzbek textile products were Russia ($268.4 million), followed by Türkiye ($129 million), Kyrgyzstan ($111 million), China ($83.8 million), Kazakhstan ($26.8 million), Poland ($22.5 million), Iran ($20.1 million ), Belarus ($16.7 million), Tajikistan ($11.5 million), Azerbaijan ($9.3 million), Ukraine ($8 million), Germany ($7.7 million), and Egypt ($5.4 million).

In 2022, Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $3.1 billion. From January through December 2022, more than 552 types of Uzbek textile products were exported to 73 countries of the world.
