BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. South Korea will allocate $492,000 for the reconstruction of Seoul Park in Tashkent city, Trend reports via the khokimiyat of Tashkent (local government).
The matter was discussed between the khokim (governor) of Tashkent city Shavkat Umurzokov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Uzbekistan Kim Hee-sang.
During the meeting, the ambassador said that for the reconstruction of the park Seoul City Hall will allocate $340,000, while the remaining $152,000 will be allocated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea.
Throughout the talks, the governor of Tashkent сity emphasized that Seoul Park is a symbol of Uzbekistan's strong friendship with South Korea.
Furthermore, Seoul Park in Tashkent was opened in 2014. The agreement on the construction of the park was reached during the state visit of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to South Korea in 2010.
