BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Uzbekistan imported goods and services worth $109.6 million from France during January through March 2023, Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
The statistics say that during the reporting period, this figure increased by more than 2 times, compared to the first three months of 2022 ($52.2 million).
At the same time, the exports from Uzbekistan to France, in the reporting period, amounted to $97.1 million, which is 2.5 times more than in 3M2022 ($38.6 million).
From January through March 2023, Uzbekistan and France increased the bilateral trade turnover by more than 2.2 times, compared to the same period of 2022, from $90.8 million up to $206.8 million.
In 2022, the mutual trade between Uzbekistan and France made up $339.5 million - an increase of 20.9 percent, compared to 2021 ($280.8 million).
The value of exports from Uzbekistan to France reached $68.2 million in 2022, increasing by almost 3.2 times year-on-year ($21.3 million in 2021), while imports were – $271.3 million.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover, during the first quarter of 2023, reached $14.7 billion, increasing by 11.9 percent, compared to the same period last year ($13.2 billion).
