TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 2. Following negotiations at the international exhibitions EliteLine and CAF held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, a landmark agreement has been reached between the Uzbek company Ulkan-Laziz and a German investor for the allocation of 100 million euros in joint projects, Trend reports.

According to Uzbekistan's Uzcharmsanoat, the leather and footwear industry association, the agreement aims to boost Uzbekistan's leather industry and footwear production, as well as pave the way for new ventures in the textile and construction sectors.

In the coming weeks, the German investor will visit Uzbekistan to familiarize themselves with the business environment and production processes in the country. It is planned to sign preliminary agreements for joint projects in Uzcharmsanoat.

Moreover, Uzbekistan's seasonal footwear has attracted significant interest from prominent distributors in the Russian Federation. During negotiations between Sharq Ravon, a footwear company, and a major Russian retail network, a preliminary agreement was reached for the supply of seasonal footwear. The Russian side intends to purchase an initial order of 20,000 pairs of shoes.

Furthermore, in a meeting between the leadership of Uzcharmsanoat and the Turkish KSAID company, discussions centered on the potential for multi-faceted collaboration, including participation in exhibition activities and facilitating the involvement of Turkish firms in the international exhibition UzCharmExpo-EurAsia-2023, to be held in Tashkent.
