TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 9. The Turkish Cengiz Holding company intends to implement projects worth $5 billion in Uzbekistan, including the construction of road tunnels and mining, Trend reports.

This information became public during a meeting between Cengiz Holding Chairman of the Board Mehmet Cengiz and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Cengiz Holding, Turkey's top diversified holding firm, has already completed two projects in Uzbekistan, including the completion of modern power plants with a total capacity of 460 megawatts in the Tashkent and Sirdaryo districts.

During the meeting, the start of a project to build an additional power plant with a capacity of more than 500 megawatts in the Jizzakh region was also approved.

The chairman of Cengiz Holding provided the president of Uzbekistan with proposals for the realization of new projects totaling more than $5 billion.

hese projects include the modernization and construction of highways and tunnels, geological exploration and development of promising mineral deposits, as well as energy infrastructure management based on public-private partnership.

Mirziyoyev instructed to conduct operational preparation and full-scale implementation of promising projects with the participation of a Turkish investor.
