TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 8. Uzbekistan and the Saudi Arabian Mahmasah Tasali Marsa Matrooh agricultural company have discussed the issues of expanding exports of dried fruits, almonds and nuts produced in Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia, Trend reports.

Negotiations with the Director General of the Saudi Arabian firm, Labib Muhammad Saad, took place at the Uzbek Consulate General in Jeddah.

According to the Saudi businessman, Uzbekistan currently has a lot of experience in cultivating and processing fruits and vegetables, and its products are popular in foreign markets.

Negotiations resulted in an agreement to build mutually beneficial ties with significant Uzbek enterprises involved in the export of dried fruits, almonds, and nuts, as well as to continue negotiations with relevant organizations.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's total international trade transaction exceeded $50 billion from January through October 2023.

Exports represented for 40.2 percent of total foreign trade transactions, totaling $20.47 billion, a remarkable 29.1 percent increase. Meanwhile, imports represented for 59.8 percent of total trade, totaling $30.5 billion, a 22.7 percent rise.
