TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 11. Uzbekistan’s Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company JSC manufactured products worth 67.5 trillion soums ($5.4 billion) in 2023, which is 3.8 percent more year-on-year, Trend reports.
The company paid 22.9 trillion soums ($1.8 billion) of taxes and mandatory payments to the state budget, as well as 14.4 trillion soums ($1.16 billion) of dividends to the state share.
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company (NMMC) attracted $473.5 million within the framework of Uzbekistan's Investment Program for 2021–2023.
As part of the Localization Program (program for manufacturing of localized products, further expansion of intersectoral industrial cooperation), the company made localized products worth 629.5 billion soums ($51.1 million) and purchased products worth 5.5 trillion soums ($446.8 million) through intersectoral industrial cooperation.
Implementation of a series of measures on cost optimization led to a reduction in the cost of manufactured products to the amount of 1.4 trillion soums ($113.7 million).
Also, in 2022 NMMC signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) which includes preliminary indicative conditions for financing. The funds of EDB were to be used to implement the NMMC's investment program for 2022-2026 which is aimed at increasing production capacity, and production efficiency, and developing promising deposits.
