Uzbekistan's IT Park residents see growth in export volume

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 1. The export volume of Uzbekistan's IT Park residents reached $344 million by the end of 2023, which is 2.4 times more year-on-year ($140 million), Trend reports.

This was announced at the IT Park 2024: Achievements & Vision event on January 31.

In particular, 57 percent ($196 million) of service exports went to service companies, 23 percent ($79 million) to product companies, and 20 percent ($69 million) to resident companies providing business process outsourcing services.

The main export countries were the USA at 44 percent ($151 million), UK and EU countries at 24 percent ($82.5 million), CIS countries at 20 percent ($69 million), APR countries at 8 percent ($27.5 million), and MENA countries at 4 percent ($14 million).

An export increase was achieved due to the growth of export-oriented resident companies by the end of 2023. The number of resident companies amounted to 551, which is 1.5 times more year-on-year.

Earlier, DutchDomino Ventures (a venture fund) signed a memorandum of understanding with IT Park Uzbekistan.

As part of the memorandum, Domino Ventures plans to explore and contribute to Uzbekistan's innovation ecosystem this year in partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan.
