TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 10. Uzbekistan and Belarus have agreed to jointly build poultry farms, Trend reports.

This was discussed at a briefing following the meeting between president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during his visit to the country.

The sides also agreed to export products to Afghanistan.

According to the president of Belarus, the country is ready to work with Uzbekistan to organize the export of broiler chicken meat and its production in Uzbekistan.

"I suggested building more [poultry] factories. It is clear at once that grain is needed. We will buy grain. Today, Russia has enough grain at cheap, low prices. We buy cheap grain, process it here, and sell it on third-party markets. So, why not produce it here [in Uzbekistan] and sell it over the fence in Afghanistan?" the president of Belarus said.

Meanwhile, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko have adopted a joint statement following the meetings.

A number of important bilateral documents and agreements were signed in the presence of the heads of state.

Note that, at the invitation of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko visited Uzbekistan on February 7-9.
