Uzbekistan's trade turnover volume with CIS countries increases

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 25. Uzbekistan's share of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries increased by 0.2 percent from January through February 2024 (to 32.9 percent) year-on-year, Trend reports.

As per data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the volume of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $3.2 billion. Exports amounted to $1 billion, while imports were $2.1 billion.

The largest volume of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries was recorded with Russia (54.3 percent), Kazakhstan (17.8 percent), and Turkmenistan (5.7 percent).

The volume of foreign trade turnover in other states decreased by 0.2 percent from January through February 2024 year-on-year and amounted to 67.1 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $1.44 billion in January 2024. Exports amounted to $524.4 million, while imports were $923.8 million.

The trade turnover volume with CIS countries reached $20.5 billion in 2023.

As per data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the volume of exports amounted to $8 billion and imports to $12.4 billion.
