TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 17. Uzbekistan and Iran discussed matters related to the implementation of 29 joint projects with the participation of both countries' companies, with a total value of $160 million, Trend reports.

The matter was reviewed during a videoconference between ministries and organizations in Uzbekistan and Iran.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects of creating a separate industrial zone for Iranian companies and searching for partners in 23 investment projects in the Khorezm region.

Following the discussion, the parties decided to arrange for Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Ali Eskandari to visit the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan and present the region's socioeconomic potential and suggested investment projects.

Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, claims that Iran and Uzbekistan will soon conclude a bilateral agreement on cargo transportation.

According to Iranian minister, work is currently underway on transit roadmaps, transportation, and the signing of a bilateral document in this direction.
