TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 23. Uzbekistan’s coal, coke, and briquette trade turnover amounted to $52.7 million in the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.
According to the data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure is 16.5 percent more compared to the same period last year ($45.2 million in January–March 2023).
The exports of coal, coke, and briquettes reached $200,000 from January through March 2024.
The country’s imports of coal, coke, and briquettes totaled $52.5 million during this period. The volume of imports shows 16.1 percent growth over the past the past year ($45.2 million in January–March 2023).
Meanwhile, the country's total trade turnover volume of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials amounted to $1.2 billion from January through March 2024. This figure is 44.8 percent more year-on-year ($828.5 million in January–March 2023).
Uzbekistan's exports of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials reached $204.7 million, and imports totaled $1 billion from January through March 2024.
