Uzbekistan reveals trade turnover volume with China

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 24. Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover volume with China amounted to $3.9 billion from January through April 2024, Trend reports.

As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure is 18.1 percent higher year-on-year ($3.3 billion in January–April 2023).

China ranks first among the countries with the largest volume of foreign trade turnover in Uzbekistan. The country’s share in the total volume of trade turnover in Uzbekistan accounts for 19 percent.

The volume of exports to China from Uzbekistan amounted to $644.4 million, which is more by 9 percent, compared to the same period last year ($590.7 million in January–April 2023).

Uzbekistan’s imports from China reached $3.3 billion from January through April 2024. This indicator has increased by 22.2 percent year-on-year ($2.7 billion in January–April 2023).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $20.9 billion from January through April 2024. This is 6 percent more year-on-year ($19.7 billion in January–April 2023).

The largest trade turnover volume was recorded with China ($3.9 billion) during this period. Russia ranks second with a total trade turnover volume of $3.8 billion, followed by Kazakhstan ($1.2 billion).
