TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 28. Uzbekistan has established a new amount of monetary compensation paid to certain persons based on the decision of the Interdepartmental Tariff Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers, Trend reports.
According to the decision, the amount of monthly monetary compensation from the second quarter of 2024 is set at 128,700 soums ($10.13). This figure has increased by 10.7 percent compared to the same period last year (116,180 soums, or $9.15 in the second quarter of 2023).
Moreover, the amount of compensation for gasoline in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 124,780 soums ($9.82).
Uzbekneftegaz (Uzbekistan’s oil and gas company) is responsible for financing the compensation payments for gasoline.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan produced 464,000 tons of motor gasoline from January through April 2024. This figure has decreased by 8 percent year-on-year (504,600 tons in January–April 2023).
At the same time, in April, the volume of motor gasoline produced increased by 103,400 tons compared to the previous months (360,600 tons in January–March 2024).
