TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 21. Uzbekistan produced 49.2 million cubic meters of gas through underground coal gasification from January through May 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 24.2 percent compared to the same period last year (39.6 million cubic meters in January–May 2023).
At the same time, in May 2024, the production volume of gas through underground coal gasification decreased to 1.8 million cubic meters, compared to 6.2 million cubic meters in April 2024.
Meanwhile, the volume of natural gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 18.8 billion cubic meters from January through May 2024. This figure represents a decrease of 5 percent year-on-year (19.8 billion cubic meters in January–May 2023).
At the same time, the volume of produced gas condensate reached 527,500 tons from January through May 2024. This indicator is 3.1 percent higher than the same period last year (511,200 tons in January–May 2023).
