TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 6. The scope and time of work of the precinct election commission in determining the results of Uzbekistan's parliamentary election have been reduced, Trend reports.
According to the information, it became known during the regular meeting of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan.
Thus, if in the previous election, precinct election commissions spent an average of four hours on counting the results of the vote, the introduction of a new form of ballots reduced this time by at least an hour, and throughout the country saved at least 11,000 hours of time of commissions.
Consequently, the number of precinct election commissions has been reduced from 11 people in the previous election to an average of 10 this year, i.e., to 2,100 people throughout the republic.
Moreover, the compact size and printing of different colors of ballots will make it easier for voters to select the necessary ballots and fill them in.
To note, the election for deputies to provincial, city, and district councils and members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan is scheduled for October 27.
The Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Democratic Party of National Revival, Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat" - will take part in the election.
