TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 12. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will meet today with a Turkish delegation consisting of Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, and Director of the National Intelligence Service Ibrahim Kalin, spokesperson of the President of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov told Trend.
The Turkish delegation touched down in Tashkent after the ink dried on the agreements made during the Uzbek president's official visit to Türkiye on June 6-7 this year.
During the visit, bilateral talks and a joint meeting of the heads of foreign policy, law enforcement agencies, and special services are scheduled.
The sides will discuss issues of practical implementation of the decisions of the leaders of the two countries, strengthening coordination and practical interaction in the fight against modern challenges and threats to security.
To note, the meetings in this format are being held for the first time and are aimed at establishing systemic cooperation in the priority areas of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership.
