TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 18. Uzbekistan and Kuwait discussed strengthening multifaceted partnership, Trend reports.

The news follows a meeting between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah.

During the meeting, the sides noted the significance of the recent high-level negotiations, which set a solid foundation for further enhancing the relationship between Uzbekistan and Kuwait.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of continuing high-level contacts and agreed to launch an Investment Platform to drive forward joint projects in areas such as agriculture, transport, logistics, healthcare, education, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure. They also discussed the growing cooperation in various sectors and reaffirmed their commitment to mutual support through the Central Asia–Gulf Cooperation Council dialogue.

In addition, the parties agreed to establish joint monitoring mechanisms to ensure the effective implementation of all decisions and agreements made during their discussions.

Meanwhile, the president of Uzbekistan is visiting Kuwait at the invitation of the country's Emir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah from February 17 through 18.

He held high-level bilateral talks in Kuwait City, as well as meetings with the leadership and members of the government, heads of leading Kuwaiti companies, and banking and financial structures.

During the president's visit, Uzbekistan and Kuwait signed a joint declaration on the development of Uzbek-Kuwaiti relations as a comprehensive partnership.
