(IRNA) - A quake measuring 3.7 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale shook Parandak suburbs in Markazi Province on Tuesday.
The seismographic networks affiliated to Tehran University's Geophysics Insitute put the epicenter of the quake at 35.24 degrees in latitude and 50.69 degrees in longitude.
The quake took place at 14:06 hours local time (09:36 GMT).
No report is yet available on likely toll or damage caused by the natural disaster.
Iran is often shaken by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
