Tehran Likely to Discuss Opening of US Offices in Iran: Foreign Minister

Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 July / corr. Trend T.Jafarov / Manuchohr Mottaki, the Iranian Foreign Minister, said that Tehran is likely to discuss the opening of an office in Iran, intended to support the American interests, the Iranian information agency IRNA reported.

Within the framework of the summit of Social and economic council, Mottaki told journalists that Iran did not receive any proposal on this issue. However, the Minister said that proposals, which were presented to Tehran in 2007, might be discussed to open flight between Iran and the United States, as well as, offices, supporting interests of both countries.

Mottaki said that official Tehran welcomed mutual relations between Iran and the United States in science, education and tourism. "Such kind of relations can change public opinion of the United States with respect to Iran," the Iranian Foreign Minister said.
