Six Beheaded in Iran’s Sabzavar City
Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 July / Trend corr T.Jafarov/ "According to Iran's state television, six people were beheaded in Iran's Sabzavar city for hooliganism," RadioFarda news website reported.
That is the second public execution act in recent week. Last Thursday, four people were publicly executed in Brazjan city in Iran's Bushehr province and one man was executed in the central prison of Sanandaj city.
Public execution of 11 people did take place, though the spokesperson of Iran's Criminal Sentence Fulfilment Office reported at a press conference in January 2008 that the head of the organization had banned public executions.
On 11 July, International Amnesty Organization condemned the public execution in Iran, which is the second since January 2008, and urged to put an end to executions.
