Iran's Interior Ministry has ordered an investigation into the recent attack on the dormitories of Tehran University, Press TV reported.

The ministry has called on Tehran's Governor to identify those involved in the incident.

The Governor's office has also been ordered to deal with the complaints filed by Tehran University students.

Earlier, Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani had said that the Interior Ministry should be held responsible for the attacks.

A group of unidentified people attacked Tehran University students amid tension over the disputed election results.

They destroyed students' and the dormitories' properties and injured several people.
