Spokesman of Iran's Guardian Council has cautioned presidential candidate, Mohsen Rezaei, on agitating public opinion over the election results before the Guardian Council investigates the allegations, Press TV reported.

Speaking to a ISNA reporter on Friday, Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei asked the candidates not to stir up public opinion prior to the general meeting between the body and the candidates scheduled for Saturday.

Earlier Rezaei told the state media that he had won between 3.5 million votes and 7 million, according to the experts that monitored the polling.

Kadkhodaei explained that the complaints submitted by Rezaei and the request to re-count the votes in some provinces is under investigation; however, other complaints were simply general ideas that were not in the brief or jurisdiction of the Council to answer.

He urged the candidates to wait for the outcome of Saturday's meeting between the four candidates and the Council.

The body has reportedly received 646 complaints by Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi and Mohsen Rezaei regarding various violations in the electoral process.
