The Chief Editor of the Iran state newspaper Kava Ishtikhardi said that former presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi and the country's ex-president Mohammad Khatemi filed a suit against the newspaper. Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani's children intend to file the same suit, the Fars news agency reported.
"So far, a court has received 6 complaints from Mousavi's election headquarters against the Iran newspaper. One complaint is from Khatemi against the newspaper," Ishtikhardi said.
Chairman of Iran's Advisory Board Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani's three children also intend to sue, he said.
According to Ishtihardi, the report by the Iran newspaper on Mousavi and Khatami has been published to educate the people and the leadership of the newspaper is ready to respond before the court.
Some Iranian media has spread reports by persons who were not close to Mousavi as his supporters, said Abulfaz Fateh, spokesman for the election headquarters of the ex-presidential candidate.
