The 20th International Hong Kong Food Expo is being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from August 13 to 17, with 16 Iranian firms actively participating in it.
600 firms from 24 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Canada, Turkey, Malaysia and Australia have taken part in the event, Mehr News Agency reported.
Director of Foreign Exhibitions of Mashhad International Fairgrounds Abbas-Ali Khaksar, who is in charge of the Iranian Pavilion at the expo, told reporters on Friday that after China and South Korea Iran has the biggest pavilion space in the exhibition.
He said that Iranians taking part in the fair specialized mainly in the fields of nuts, tea, saffron, dates, figs and dried fruit.
Khaksar added that Iranian products were widely appreciated by Hong Kong's businessmen and regular visitors who were pleased with the quality and taste.
