Javad Emam, who was one of former Iranian presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi's top aides during the election campaign, has been released from prison.

Javad Emam, who was one of former Iranian presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi's top aides during the election campaign, has been released from prison, Press TV reported.

A senior member of the Reformist political faction, Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution Organization of Iran has been freed, the Tabnak news website reported in the early hours of Wednesday.

Javad Emam, who managed Mousavi's campaign in Tehran, was arrested following the June 12 presidential elections.

Another member of the organization, Majid Nayyeri, was also released the previous day. Nayyeri was detained on June 16.
