Iranian Supreme Leader's representative: Germany undermines its reputation by releasing PJAK leader
Germany has undermined its reputation on the international arena by releasing arrested head of PJAK group Abdulrahman Haj Ahmadi, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's consultant on Foreign Relations, Ali Akbar Velayati said, IRNA reported.
He also added that the release of Haj Ahmadi is a violation of the international law, because the head of PJAK and other terrorists are suspected of terrorist activity against Iran and Iranian people.
Germany's actions are dictated by the influence of the United States, Velayati said.
Last week, the head of PJAK group, which is the Iranian wing of the terrorist group PKK, was arrested and then released in Germany.
PJAK group operates in the Iranian province of Kurdistan. It has killed a large number of soldiers in repeated skirmishes with the Iranian army. The group aims to separate Kurdistan from Iran.
